Re: Partying, Partying. YEAH
here is pictures of my current angle
This would be part of the reason. Roll Center Adjuster, but as you can see it moved the coilover mount outwords. Now in my head, I can't see how that helps with angle. all it does to me is just give the car a wider track in the front. If someone could enlighten me more on this because i don't see anything else that would give the car more angle.
This is what is currently limiting my angle, the outer tie rod hitting the Lower control arm.
This is the clearance i am working with.
I have about an inch in this picture
and about an inch and a half in this picture
I did a really rough measurement and it looks like the wheel could turn in about 2 more inches. Not sure what that translates into degrees. But in about 2 inches the wheel will start to rub

Re: Partying, Partying. YEAH
Decided to figure out all the wiring behind the dash. i want to make it as simple as possible, so during the driving season it makes it really easy to find and fix problems.
I plan on having a full stereo next year, but i want no tangles and no loose wires and crap
Some people on other forums were asking about my modified tension rod set up, so i am posting it up here for you guys as well, Its a s13/14 tension rod modified to fit my jzx81
Didn't have much time today.
but i bought a Harmonic damper/steering wheel puller
pulled my damper off, took timing belt off and took water pump off. thats about it.
Going to go with a 2jz waterpump since i dont' want the hyrdo pump anymore.
good time to change front main seal. Changing oil pump as well

Re: Partying, Partying. YEAH
Engine bay before
Engine bay after
I didn't spend a whole lot of time on it. Its also really hard to clean gunk and oil without water, or a pressure source. It was just engine degreaser, some paper towel and a small air compressor.
it looks a lot better than it did and i am happy with it.
I think i am just going to stick with the black engine bay and just have the engine some crazy colors. like this
Not close to being done. I just did about 2 coats on it before i called it quits.
this might of been the motivation i needed to get back into the shop and work on my car. Not sure though. we will see how i feel tomorrow. Im happy that i made progress though. even if it was small progress.
I was at Canadian tire buying some clear coat for my valve covers and i found this cool sparkly clear coat. I thought it would look cool in my engine bay.
So i went a little crazy in my engine bay, and i also sprayed my valve covers a bit.
here is the engine bay.
You really can't see it a whole lot unless there is light. which i kind of like.
Valve covers
Up close
And because we don't have water in my garage, or anything, its making it really hard to clean up the gunk on my engine and such. and there is a lot of gunk.
But i found this spray foam stuff.
Here is the before picture
In this picture it is really evident that i had an exhaust leak. I thought i did during the summer, but couldn't tell. Having that sealed would probably help with turbo spool time eh. haha
Well i haven't got it clean yet. I let the foam soak in and do its work
so here is what it looks like with the foam

which turned to this
In the box on the top right is pretty much every gasket and seal Driftmotion has for the 1jz/r154.
Also in the middle is the new 50mm wastegate
I ordered a 2jz na fan, when i was supposed to order a 7m fan. INstead of crying about it, like i was going to . i just drilled more holes and and made the fucker fit.
Now in 2 or so weeks i will be back in the same city as the car and i can start doing work
that is what 1200 bucks looks like yeah.
oil pump
water pump
pulley kit
wastegate
Fuel pressure regulator and lines
header wrap (2)
timing belt and serpentine belt
fan set up
Every gasket/seal from valve cover to transmission output
yeah they do. most of this stuff could of been forgotten about. but i want to make sure the engine is in good running order when i start throwing some power at it. last year it handle 12 psi all day for me, no issues. I want the same this year
