You know, that black skyline
Hello fellow DG's finally gathered enough pictures up to make a build thread. Didnt keep a log from the start so gonna have to go off memory and a few dates that were on the photos I found, and was sent. Well here we go,
Thats basically what it looked like when i picked her up from a fellow DG, Mr. Nagel.
List of what it had done:
Purchased: April 23, 2011
1992 Nissan Skyline GTS-T Type M
RB20DET 133,xxx km timing belt done around 90,000
Greddy FMIC
AEM Tru Boost
de-cat
3 inch Jasma Cruise catback aka: the R2D2 exhaust
Momo pista wheel
Razo shift knob
front strut bar
K-sport coilovers which seen wayyyyyy better days
stock gtst 16x6.5 on sandals (bald tires) and a nail in one
Holley fuel pump
New master slave
New valve cover gaskets
late 1990's japanese deck
super old window tint; couldnt see out back window
Drove it like that for about a week or so getting use to the whole RHD thing. Replaced the tires so it could pass inspection, replaced the alternator as the bearing was going and it would howl like a banshee for awhile till it warmed up. At the same time decided to change the belts for the a/c, powersteering, fan, etc.
Finally got around to purchasing some parts
Megan coilovers 32 way adjustable dampering 8k f 6k r, NRG quick release, shag skyline floor mats, bike peg shift knob , new shift boot leather, and some 15mm ichiba wheel spacers so these,
would pass the front caliper.
Intellese Algernon silver 17x8 front 17x9 rear + 35 all around
Changing coilovers,
[/img]
Installed the quick release hub, and removed the old school deck
Replaced the old school deck with a cheap alpine i picked up
Swapped out the floor mats for these:
Shagadelic baby
Then threw the new leather on
Before:
After:
Finshed product (back then):
Removed the type m spoiler, and gave her a FATTY wax then took a break to just drive the car seeing as it was my DD
Some snaps,
Ill add more later

Continueeeeeeeed
After driving the line for abit the clutch started to slip. It being my DD i had to replace the clutch quick and hopefully cheap. So i picked up a ebay spec clutch, f1 racing stage 2 came with pressure plate, clutch, and lightweight flywheel. For the price i paid the clutch exceeded my expectations and still holds solid to this day.
With the clutch fixed i wanted a nice lip, so i decided to make one
And the garden edging lip was born, let a few OG's sign the lip
Then i looked at my front bumper and said
"Lets cut that damn license plate holder out"
So it happened,
Rebar was next
finshed product:
slapped the spoiler back on and kept driving her.
and just a cool pic
Near the end of summer i decided to take the line out to the airshow for the day got a few cool shots with my phone
On the ride back when we finally broke free from the bumper to bumper traffic i decided to dip into boost and noticed at the high rpm range it would start to misfire and the tailpipe would sound like a machine gun firing off, and whatcha know.
Coilpacks done for.
So we had to replace those. Luckily i found a pair of 6 oem ones off a forum for cheapp and slapped those in right away.
Taking the coilpacks out, at the same time i decided to change the spark plugs aswell, when with one heat range cooler than stock
at the same time i decided to paint my coilpack cover (which i will come to regret so dont worry snags) and my strut bar purple.
all done, drove like a new car, but the green didnt last long.
picked up a pair of RUCA's
Picked up a cheap HID kit 8k's glow a nice blue, gave the girl some pretty eyes
moooar to come

Diet time.
Thanks to a very weird winter i was able to start driving my car late march.
Until after work i came out to this
Nissan skyline Arctic edition
Lets just say that drive home was fun.
Anyway when the better weather started to come around though id put the skyline on a diet.
Commence interior strippage
Seats out
Sound deadening removal, biggggg pain the ass without dry ice
Starting paint
Stripped the trunk, removed deadening, sanded painted
Re-routed some of the hicas and stereo wires
And covered it all with none other than.....
Yep sparkles.
moooar tomorrow

Re: You know, that black skyline
Around the beginning of summer i started to clean up the engine bay a bit so i removed the whole carbon canister system along with the vacuum lines it probably wasnt doing anything anyways....
so peace out!
Removed the stock recirc lines for the oem blow off valve and replaced it with a hks super sequential
Removing recirc lines, and turbo heat shield, cleaned up some grounds
BoV
Well everything was basically out of the way though id give the exhaust some more flow if ya know what i mean.
3 inch divorced elbow, into 3 inch divorced downpipe, new o2 sensor
Buttoned it all back up, then went back to the interior
Moved the climate control to where the deck used to sit, and vise versa. Personally like it better this way
Installed drift knob, along with 3.75 inch shift knob extension cause why not right?
Had to replace the shifter leather as it basically fell apart
Gave the GTR someone to hard park with
The story in a nutshell, its now caught up to its current state ill be adding as i go. how she sits as of 5 minutes ago..
rear end is still a work in progress waiting on new tires
Thats that will be adding more as the parts come in, and alot over winter.
